About
About Statecraft
Founded to make serious diplomacy accessible, Statecraft is a community of delegates, researchers and organisers at Hansraj College.
Who we are
Founded by students who wanted more than a debating club, Statecraft has grown into one of the most active Model UN societies in the University of Delhi - hosting a flagship conference, running weekly committees and sending delegations across the circuit each season.
We are deliberately open. Every session begins with training, and every first-year delegate is paired with a mentor who has stood on the same floor.
Vision
To build a generation of students who can hold a room with evidence, patience and integrity.
Mission
We run weekly simulations, structured training, funded delegations and a research wing that publishes each session.
Core pillars
What we stand on.
01
Diplomacy
We train members to argue with precision and listen with intent - persuasion built on evidence rather than volume.
02
Statesmanship
Beyond winning a committee, we ask what a resolution actually does. Policy literacy sits at the centre of everything we run.
03
Honor
Fair play, credit where it is due, and a room where a first-time delegate is treated exactly as seriously as a veteran.
Activities
What a session with us looks like.
Weekly Committee Sessions
Simulations across GA, ECOSOC, historical and crisis formats.
Training & Mentorship
Structured onboarding for first-year delegates, paired with senior mentors.
Research & Publication
Briefs, reports and essays produced by the research wing each session.
The Delhi Circuit
Funded delegations to conferences across the university and beyond.
